Meet the Team
Terry Cutcliffe & Hilary Smith – Owners and Full Time Centre Managers
Terry and Hilary have always loved dogs both having many as they have grown up. For the past 8 years their lives have been completely immersed with dogs; working, studying, living with and absorbing everything about them and the industries that cater for them. In 2007 both Terry & Hilary received a Cert III in Dog Training and Behaviour, a nationally recognised dog training qualification through the National Dog Trainers Federation ( arguably the most comprehensive canine behaviour course available in Australia.) They have also done some further study, and have been recognised as Behaviour Consultants through the federation. Terry also has studied and gained a certificate in Animal Care.
Throughout and upon completion of their qualifications, they have both worked professionally for many organisations. They have furthered their skills and knowledge and have become completely obsessed with this passion. If you would like to read more about Terry & Hilary’s experience, please

Terry & Hilary share their lives with a wonderful Labrador ‘Tido’ who would have to be the luckiest dog in the world. Getting the best of everything and playing with other dogs all day, every day. Tido is very happy to share his home and life with the hundreds of wonderful dogs Terry & Hilary have helped over the years.
Club Canine rolls all of our experience and passion into one great organisation offering the very best of almost all services that your dog will ever need. We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of everything canine from the most effective training methods to the best in pet retail. We get to know all of our furry customers personally, and form a real bond with them all. If your furry friend is important to you, and a real part of your family we’d love to meet them and help you give them the happiest life possible.

Ainsley - Kingston 2IC
Ainslie
started work with Club Canine in February 2012. She brought with her over 10
years Veterinary Nursing and Customer Service experience. She has lived with and worked with various
animals throughout her life and currently lives with ‘Loki’, her Border Collie,
and ‘Pudding’ a pussy cat of unknown age but huge personality. Ainslie has most
recently achieved a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services (Positive Dog
Training) with the Delta Society of Australia. She uses this knowledge every
day at Club Canine helping make the dog’s days enjoyable and fun. She also
shares this knowledge willingly with other staff members to assist them in
their understanding of behaviours being displayed by the dogs, and how to
relate to the dogs in a positive enjoyable manner. Ainslie now splits her
working hours between the Daycare centre and assisting Terry in the running of
the Kingston Centre. She enjoys greeting our customers, both new and existing,
and sharing doggie stories with them while assisting with enquiries and
bookings. Her bright personality and ready smile make her ideal for this role.

Scott - Hobart 2IC
Scott started
work with us in January 2012, only a few days after his wedding. Thank you,
Scott. He has a passion for dogs and is a wonder at training them. This is demonstrated
by ‘Barry’, his six year old Labrador who performs fantastic tricks as well as
being beautifully behaved. Scott is about to undertake the Certificate III in
Dog Behaviour and Training through NDTF, which will help fine tune his training
skills. Since beginning at Club Canine, Scott has developed another love –
Mabel, a lovely young Whippet who visits regularly for fun, exercise and games.
When she travels to Kingston for her sleepover engagements we can see the
disappointment in Scott’s face as he says good-bye. Apart from being fantastic
in the Daycare centre, Scott is now being utilised in a customer service role
as Second in Charge at our Hobart Centre.
His cool calm personality, along with his Bachelor of Sociology, is
allowing him to settle in to this role with a quiet confidence. We all have
great respect for Scott and find him easy and enjoyable to work with.

Courtney - Head Groomer
A Grooming
Wizard! Courtney is a very talented young lady who brought a lot of grooming
experience with her when she started working for us in January
2012. Courtney is now our Senior Groomer and as such is responsible for
training our junior groomers in the art of grooming and pooch pampering. She is
doing an awesome job of this and both the staff and the dogs are very grateful
for her knowledge and skill. The dogs all love Courtney and as such can’t wait
to greet her when she comes through the gate to see them, and many of the dogs,
when finished their pampering, simply want to follow Courtney back to the groom
room, just to spend more time with her! When in the Daycare centre, Courtney
brings a lot of fun to the day and is always surrounded by happy dogs waiting
for new games to begin.
Nick - Day Care Extraordinaire
Nick has worked closely with Terry since early 2010, helping walk, train and now care and entertain dogs within our day care centre. This gentle giant has had dogs for most of his life and has a real love for them. He sends most of our furry friends off with a kiss at the end of the day and you will even see him snuggling with them on the couch. Nick is a valued member of our team and has gained a wealth of knowledge during his time with us. Nick is also furthering his knowledge and skills by completing a dog training qualification with the National Dog Trainers Federation.
Robert – DayCare Wizard
Rob has also worked closely with Terry since 2010 learning the ropes of the dog training and care world. Like all the team, Rob has had dogs all his life and shares his life with his little Maltese x ‘Scruffy’. This young father of one brings youth and enthusiasm to the team, and has an amazing ability to entertain the dogs for hours on end and loves every second with them all. Rob is also completing a dog training qualification through the National Dog Trainers Federation.
Carol – Meet and
Greeter
Carol is a dog lover through and through. She is a
registered nurse and in her spare time is also the secretary of the Tasmanian
Dog Walking Association. Her Labrador Eric (also known as the Captain of cute)
is a regular here at Club Canine. Carol and Eric are always up to fun ‘doggy
business’ at the beach or at training.
Carol is a great help here at Club Canine, and you will see her here
some mornings helping get the dogs into the centre.

Gail
Gail began
work with Club Canine as one of our Home Dog Minders. She and her beautiful girl ‘Bella’, a Collie
cross, would look after lucky Club Canine Members in their home. Now, Gail is one of our Daycare wonder
wizards and Night Manager extraordinaire. Gail is very dedicated to the welfare
of dogs and cares greatly about every dog she encounters. For this we are very
grateful and we like to foster this attitude in all of our staff. Gail also
brings a quiet confidence to the work place, which the dogs all appreciate and
respond well too, AS DO WE! She is also fantastic at having fun with the dogs
and they all love being here when Gail is working; constantly busy and playing
with toys, doing some trick training or simply resting with her in the lounge. She
has a wealth of knowledge and experience in other areas as well, and we feel
very lucky to have her as a member of our team.
